This file contains instructions to install DASY8 Module WPT on DASY8 systems.


IMPORTANT:

We kindly recommend to carefully follow the steps described within this ReadMe 
file in order to achieve a smooth and successful installation of all software 
components. 

The "Module WPT V2.4 - SW Installer" from the download site
https://speag.swiss/downloads/dasy/dasy8-download-2
contains the latest software.

NOTE:
It is not necessary to uninstall any previous version of DASY8 Module WPT. This 
installer provides a complete new installation of DASY8 and installs it onto the 
local harddisk into a separate directory.

STEP 1: INSTALLATION
To install the DASY8 Module WPT software package, run WPT_Installer_D8_2.4.x.exe. 
You will then be guided through the installation.

When the installation is complete, there will be a "D8 WPT V2.4" icon  
on your desktop as well as a DASY8 Module WPT folder in the directory C:\Users\
Public\Documents\Speag\DASY. The default installation type is "Recommended", 
whereby Core Components, Jupyter Notebook, WPT backend, Sim4Life, and DASY8 WPT
are pre-selected. 

STEP 2: DONGLE DRIVER UPDATE/INSTALLATION
The driver is directly executed during DASY8 installation, therefore no further 
step is required for the dongle driver update/installation. 

STEP 3: TX-MS UPGRADE (DASY8 server and robot controller upgrade)
Please follow the instructions in the Upgrade_TX_MS/Upgrade.txt

STEP 4: LICENSE UPDATE
In addition to Module WPT V2.4, MAGPy V2.4 will be also be installed when the 
installation is done. To run MAGPy V2.4, we need to add the corresponding license
information to your license file. Please contact us for the license update.
