Installation Requirements -------------------------------------------------------------------- - Administrator rights are required during the installation process. - NVIDIA graphics card, with support for OpenGL versions higher than v3.0. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Supported OS -------------------------------------------------------------------- - Windows Server 2012 R2 - Windows 7 64 bit - Windows 8 64 bit - Windows 8.1 64 bit - Windows 10 64 bit SEMCAD Matterhorn V16.4.2 uses Acceleware's Rotorua library version 11.1.12. Please get the latest NVIDIA driver for your hardware from the Acceleware website: http://acceleware.com/fdtd-11.1.12. Please note that only NVIDIA GPUs with CUDA Compute Capability 1.3 or higher are supported by the S4L CUDA solver (e.g., Tesla C10XX). The AXE solver supports only CUDA Compute Capability >= 2.0. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. New Features & Enhancements -------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.1. Licensing & Installation - Improved download procedure for updates of new software versions. 3.2. Modeling - Significant speed-up of the Poser tool. - Simultaneous operation of the parametric tools on multi-selection of entities. 3.3. Simulation - Improved computational performances, in particular for adaptive and connected subgrids. 3.4. Analysis - Major speed-up of Peak Spatial-Average SAR computation. - New sensor and post-processing algorithm to compute Radar Cross- Section (RCS). - Considerably shortened S-Matrix computation, when executed from the GUI. - Improved visualization of fields polarization. - Matching network tool supports import of all matching circuits from Optenni Lab. - Rotation of polar plots, shift of cartesian plots of angles. 3.5. ARES - Several simulations can now be run in parallel if necessary resources are available (for example if a machine has several GPUs). 3.6. Cloud Computing - SEMCAD Matterhorn V16.4.2 supports the NIMBIX Cloud platform. 3.7. Python - Console output can now be cleared from Python. 3.8. Interface - Highly improved tab switching when a large number of model entities is present. 3.9. Parametrization - LF simulations can now be parametrized and run by updating the analysis pipeline. - Simulation Combiner can now be parametrized. - Performance improvements of the Sweeper w.r.t. to GUI responsiveness. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.
