Calibration Procedure Basic near-field calibration of a free-space dipole includes assessment of E- and/or H-field distribution at their median operating frequency. In addition, dipole impedance and return loss within the dipole operational range in air are assessed. Field distributions at other frequencies within the dipole operational band are possible and are charged separately. All assessments are conducted with a CW signal.
